Last month, we held our annual Fellowship Square business meeting. The meeting reviewed many highlights and accomplishments from this past year and a look ahead at where we are going. Fellowship Square is making good progress on our Five-Year Strategic Plan and we continue to seek new opportunities for future development projects, new partners and more volunteers to support programs and services that improve resident life by creating new internal processes that streamline operations and increase efficiencies.
Like many non-profits, we follow seven core pillars that reflect best practices in operational strengths and mission advancement:
Pillar 1: Courageous and adaptive leadership
Pillar 2: Disciplined, people-focused management
Pillar 3: Well-designed and well-implemented programs and strategies
Pillar 4: Financial health and sustainability
Pillar 5: A culture that values learning
Pillar 6: Internal monitoring for continuous improvement
Pillar 7: External evaluation for mission effectiveness
I hope that you recognize these attributes in your interactions with Fellowship Square. We believe that these pillars provide us with the best opportunity for attracting and retaining top talent, in delivering the best experience to our residents, utilizing Board members and volunteers effectively while garnering financial support from individuals, businesses and other funders.
If you have not yet experienced our mission in action – through volunteerism or event participation – I encourage you to get involved and help us continue to make a difference in the lives of older adults. Your input, knowledge, time and financial support are always needed and greatly appreciated.
In gratitude,
